This just doesn’t quite make us want to sit down and have a happy nosh …
i heard you on public radio this morning. you gave a quote by dick cheney i think it was regarding “unknown unknowns”…..it reminds me of a saying my dad had done in script on parchment and had framed on the wall of our home.
A Persian Proverb
he who knows not and knows that he knows not is a child, teach him.
he who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep, wake him.
he who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool, shun him.
he who knows and knows that he knows is wise, follow him.
I’m not sure i have the precise wording, nor if this what mr cheney was trying to put in his own words….but the conection flashed to mind when i heard the interview.
