Yes, of course, we are speaking of the fun and enlightening (and unique) Dress Up Your Dead Possum competition held at the Uruti Schook in Taranaki, New Zealand.
Students brought in dead possums in costumes — everything from a bride to a boxer to two sunbathing on possum-sized beach towels. After pictures were posted on the Taranaki Daily News web site, many people complained. But the principal Pauline Sutton defended the “fun” contest, saying, “”When people die, don’t we dress them up?”
